Each Spring, the IIC Nominating Committee issues a Call for Expressions of Interest to members to fill vacancies on the various IIC committees. All committee terms are two years in length, with the option to be invited for a second two-year term. Committee terms are staggered to ensure both continuity from experienced committee members and fresh insights from new committee members.
Contributing to the IIC is a privilege and requirement of membership. Members are invited to submit their candidacy for a committee following a Call for Expressions of Interest. The Nominating Committee then meets to perform a thorough review to select the best candidates for the positions and submits a recommendation to the Board of Directors.
All committee positions commence following the Annual General Meeting.
Occasionally, as needed, the board will strike a Working Group for a specific project or task. Comprised of directors and members-at-large, Working Groups are dissolved upon the conclusion of the project.
