The IIC Conference Committee oversees the planning and implementation of the IIC Annual Conference, which is held across Canada on a rotating basis. Every third year the conference is traditionally held out-of-country.
Conference committee members are recommended by the Nominating Committee to the board in the spring and begin the work planning the conference in December for the following fall. Averaging four members, the committee is comprised of experienced IIC members who have completed the mandatory IIC Journal paper requirement (members joining in 2015 and beyond). Location of the conference, along with regional and professional diversity, are considerations in the selection process
The Conference Committee is strongly supported by the work of the executive director and the conference planners to build a program that includes educational programming, entertainment and dining with every effort made to ensure delegates experience the culture and unique aspects of each location.
