Regional Development Committees & Events
The IIC Regional Development Committees (RDCs) provide valuable opportunities for member connection and professional advancement across Canada. Overseen by two dedicated Board Liaisons, these committees operate within five distinct regions: British Columbia, the Prairies, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. Each regional committee is actively led by a member chair, tasked with spearheading the planning and successful execution of at least two regional events each fiscal year (running from June 1st to May 31st). These events serve a dual purpose, offering valuable professional development alongside collegial networking opportunities.
The IIC encourages the integration of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) initiatives as a component of these events, including through inviting mentees (promising up-and-coming professionals in the commercial restructuring and insolvency field) or focussing events on important DEI topics. RDC events are exclusively for members (except where otherwise stated), and members can participate in events hosted by any region, fostering a truly national community.
RDC events may be held in-person, virtually or as a hybrid event. To ensure members do not miss out on valuable content, online events may be recorded and posted on the private IIC YouTube channel for later viewing. Ready to see what’s coming up?
